Innovation Works

Getting press can feel like a black box for founders, and this session is designed to open it up. Join Axios and Innovation Works for a behind-the-scenes look at how reporters think, what actually makes a story stand out, and how founders can break through crowded inboxes to get noticed.
In this interactive conversation, journalists will answer the questions founders really want to ask, from how to pitch effectively to what to do when you don’t get a response. You’ll walk away with practical, no-fluff insights on building media relationships, sharpening your story, and turning your company’s momentum into meaningful coverage.

Cafe IW is Innovation Works’ live event series designed to connect founders with the insights, resources, and relationships they need to grow. Each session brings together expert voices and the startup community for practical learning and meaningful connection.
Meet the expert panelists joining us for this engaging conversation.
